STRONGMAN CORP SOUTHWEST REGIONALS RECAP

Strong day for the team back in May at the SC Southwest Regionals in Garland, TX. We had 3 competing: Caleb, Derin, and Stephanie. Caleb and Derin both competed in the 120kg weight class, and Stephanie represented for the 57kg open women.

Stephanie did great for it only being her first show. She came in 2nd, out of 2, but she was able to improve on all of her performances in training. Excited to watch her continue to grow in the sport.

Derin tweaked his low back in the first event and that made his day a bit tougher as it bugged him for the rest of the show. Regardless, he finished strong in the very last event where he placed 2nd to his teammate Caleb. This was only his 2nd time competing in strongman and this was probably the most stacked weight class of the day. He did fantastic and will only improve from here.

Caleb came in 2nd place overall, finishing the day with an event win. This was also only his second show, coming off a big win at the Battle Axe Showdown several months prior. He was consistent in every single event on the day as the man continues to impress. Next up for him is Nationals where he'll compete side by side with his teammate Yony! I also want to give a shout out to the team for showing up, supporting, and of course volunteering to help out. Y'all are the best. Literally no other crew showed up like we did!
